Vacancy: Patient Co-ordinator
Introduction
We’re looking to recruit a Part-time Patient Co-Ordinator to join our busy Patient Services team and become part of a forward-thinking practice with a supportive and inclusive team ethos.
We care for around 17,000 patients across Bicester and the surrounding areas—and we’re growing fast. As the first point of contact for many of our patients, the Patient Services team plays a crucial role in helping patients to access the right care and support at the right time. This is a vital and rewarding position at the heart of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Booking appointments for patients with the most appropriate clinician – including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and Healthcare Assistants
- Managing incoming enquiries via our website, email, and Rapid Health system
- Handling general enquiries both in person and over the phone
While previous experience in customer service or healthcare is desirable, it’s not essential—we’re happy to provide full training for the right candidate.
We’re looking for someone who will:
- Enjoy interacting with our patients, both in person and over the phone
- Remain calm and confident under pressure, with excellent communication skills
- Be a natural problem-solver with a proactive approach
- Stay organised and able to manage a busy and varied workload
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Thrive as part of a supportive, fast-paced team
- Be confident using computers and willing to learn new systems

The preferred working pattern for this role is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch break, totalling 32 working hours per week.
The starting salary is £12.25 per hour and along with a generous holiday allowance, we also offer membership of the NHS Pension Scheme, with an employer contribution of 14.3%.
