Can’t make your appointment?
Each month hours of GP, nurse and other clinical time is lost when patients fail to attend their booked appointments.
We send text reminders to patients where we can and include a link to click to cancel as we do understand that there are good reasons why patients are sometimes unable to attend, but despite that the equivalent of one and a half days of appointments for one clinician are wasted each week.
Those appointments could be offered to other patients, even at short notice, easing demand for everyone and making it easier for us to see all the patients who need our care.
If you have a telephone appointment, please keep your phone with you and listen out for our call and if you are not able to take that call or are no longer able to attend a face to face appointment, please help us to help others by cancelling your appointment with as much notice as possible.
You can now cancel your appointment easily from the phone number registered on your medical record; just call our usual number – 01869 249222, and select Option 1 which will allow you to check the time of your booked appointment and cancel it automatically if you’re not able to use it.
