COVID-19 – Oxfordshire “Hot” Clinics

Patients with COVID-19 or Suspected COVID-19 with another medical issue that needs to be seen in a face to face consultation by a GP or Nurse can now be seen at one of 3 “Hot” Clinics in Oxfordshire with a dedicated home visiting service for those housebound / unable to travel.

This is to protect practices and keep them COVID Secure

These clinics are located in Wallingford Community Hospital, Oxford (Wood Farm Hewalth Centre) and Banbury (Fiennes Centre, Horton Hospital)

Patients will be refered to these “Hot” Clinics by their GP Practice ONLY.  Patients cannot attend without a referral from their GP.

Generally the “Hot” Clinics will see all patients that have confirmed COVID-19 and then depending on demand will then see those with suspected COVID-19.

We expect to normally ask patients to attend the Fiennes Centre at the Horton Hospital, Banburyl

Other Key information:
· All patients should attend the CALM clinic at the agreed appointment time.
· Ensure sufficient travel time is allowed to enable patients to arrive at the CALM clinic on time
· On arrival at the CALM clinic, patients should remain in their vehicle, and inform the clinic they are waiting by calling the clinic number that we will give you.
· Patients will be given clear and specific safety net advice and told to call their practice, 111 or 999, should they become more unwell.

Where the “Hot” Clinic is unable to see a patient then the Practice will continue to see them in their separate “Hot Zone”. So that we can keep our surgery as COVID Secure as possible, our “Hot Zone” is a separate cabin near the main entrance to our surgery
