Our
new website
We have a new website where you
can:
Opening Hours
Surgery opening hours:
8am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday
We are closed all day Saturday,
Sunday and all bank holidays
Appointment times:
Our appointment times range from
8am till 6pm Monday to Friday.
Dispensary Opening Hours
Our dispensary is now open all day,
so that you can collect your
prescription at any time between
8.30am and 6pm.
There may be times due to staff
leave, where we have to close at
lunchtime, but we will try not to
close whenever possible.
Patient Satisfaction Survey
A few months ago some of you
completed a questionnaire for us. As
a result of your answers we realise
that some of you are not aware of
some of the services we offer, for
example you can:
Speak to a GP on the telephone:
If you need to speak to a
doctor, but do not want to come to
the surgery, the receptionist will
take a message and ask the doctor to
phone you back that day.
Speak to a nurse on the
telephone: If you feel you need
to be seen on the day, just
telephone the surgery and ask to
speak to the Triage Nurse.
Same day appointments: If you
need a same day appointment, ask to
be put on the ‘triage list’. You
will be phoned back within an hour.
As a result of discussing your
problem with you, the nurse will
offer you an appointment with the
doctor or nurse, or you can get
telephone advice.
Comments / Suggestions / Praise:
You can now make comments or
suggestions directly from our
website [here],
ask to speak to our practice
manager, or leave a note at
reception.
Complaints: If you are not
satisfied with the service you have
received, please ask to speak to
Sarah Arnall, our Practice Manager
or post your complaint on the
practice website. We will try to
help you, and you may be helping
others by drawing our attention to
something we are not doing as well
as we could.
Tannoy System: Some of you
cannot hear the tannoy system.
Sometimes it is loud and clear, and
other times it is very difficult to
hear. We are investigating possible
causes for this, and hope to resolve
it soon.
Exciting New Developments
We have several new developments on
order, as follows:
BMI Scales
A set of scales which measure your
height, weight and body fat, and
then produce a print out of your BMI
(body mass index). Please do try
them, and take the printout to
reception so that the data can be
added to your medical records.
Express Check In
We have ordered an express check in,
so no more queues at the front desk!
You can check in by entering your
gender and date of birth, or you can
opt for the fingerprint option, it
is entirely up to you. We will have
to wait for this, but hope it will
arrive in March.
Chip ‘n’ Pin
Paying for prescriptions or other
services will be much easier when we
get our Chip ‘n’ Pin machine,
although please note that we will
not be able to accept card payments
for less than £10.
Retirement
Dr Williams will be retiring at the
end of April, although her last week
at the surgery will be mid April.
She has been here many years, and
will be missed by colleagues and
patients. We are presently
recruiting for her replacement.
New
Staff
Over the last year we have been
pleased to welcome Loo, Geeta and
Louise to our nursing team as well
as Lynda, our new Healthcare
Assistant, Sharon and Rachel, our
two new receptionists and Trudy our
dispensing assistant.
